From the Pastor. Today for Cynthia began differently than it did yesterday when she stepped into the presence of her Lord. I can imagine the celebration that is going on at this time. She will be greatly missed. She was a great encouragement to the many people that she came in contact with. Many great attributes of hers come to mind as I write this. A lover of God. A great mother. A great inspiration and encourager. There was nothing fake or dishonest about her. A faithful and loyal member of Celebration Center. She loved her family and also her church family. My wife and I will miss her immensely as also this church. I do believe that she is very happy where she is at today. I also thank the Lord for allowing her to be a part of our lives and this church family.
We would like to wish everyone a very happy and safe independence day! Enjoy time with friends and family!

75 years ago on this day, many people from different nations landed on beaches in Normandy, France. Either by air or by sea, those that landed that day made a great sacrifice to rid the world of the evil regime of Hitler and the Nazis. We thank and remember those brave soldiers from the D-Day invasion as well as all World War 2 soldiers that fought for our freedom.

We would now like to introduce you to our final small group for the upcoming summer session, "Chillin' and Grillin'." The Chillin' and Grillin' group, led by Ryan Babin and assisted by Ronni Bossie, is for men who enjoy meat cooked on a grill and chillin' with other men. While chillin and waiting for that delicious grilled food to be ready, the group will be taking a journey through the book of James (which was written by Jesus’ brother) to follow in His footsteps and live just like Jesus did, with Faith That Endures! The group will be meeting on Wednesday Nights from 5:30-7:30pm at Ryan's home in Fort Fairfield. So, if you are like Ron Swanson and you love your meat, and you like chillin with other men, we would encourage you to sign up for this group! Our next group that will be taking place this summer is called "Take a Hike". The Take a Hike group, led by Tiffany Daigle and assisted by Danne Lajoie, is for women who would like to focus on the therapy of nature and exercise that will provide lasting benefits for the mind, body and spirit. To help facilitate conversation, the group will be reading through the book 'Switch on the Brain' by Dr. Caronline Leaf during the summer. Tiffany says: "Dr. Leaf reveals how science and scripture unite to show us how to switch on the brain for a healthier, happier and more enjoyable life. As we walk through the 21 Day Brain Detox, we will also be experiencing the therapy of nature and exercise along The County’s beautiful trails." The group will be meeting on Tuesday Nights starting at 6:30pm. The location of the meetings will vary and will be communicated to group members ahead of time. It is now time to introduce you to our second small group for the upcoming summer session, "Unleash the Power of God in your Life". The Unleash the Power of God in your Life group, led by LaNiece Sirois, is for women who are looking for a change in their life. That change will come through learning in the group the importance of what you think and say. LaNiece states: "You will achieve victory over your circumstances through spoken declarations that activate God’s power. You will put meaning and purpose back into your life when you positively direct your thoughts, words and actions toward the realization of your goals. Begin each day by commanding your morning. As you do, know that whatever begins with God and His principles has to end right." Sounds like a pretty great group doesn't it? We think so! To facilitate the conversation, the group will be reading the book "Commanding Your Morning" by Cindy Trimm. Meetings will take place on Monday's starting at 6pm at LaNiece's home in Fort Fairfield. With the days getting longer and green grass starting to appear, we are reminded that Spring is coming to an end and summer is about to begin here in Northern Maine. For us, we love summer. For many reasons really, but one of those very important reasons is because summer signifies that our summer session small groups are about to begin. That’s right, starting on June 10th, the summer session starts up. We have four very exciting small groups to introduce you to, but we are going to do them one at a time over the next two weeks leading up to our small group rally days on June 2nd and June 9th. So let’s get started by introducing our first group of the summer, the #selfie group. The #selfie group, led by Ben and Pam Nason along with Caleb Daigle assisting, is for college aged/ young adults who are looking to find their true self. In the group you will learn more about who you are and why you do the things you do. This eye opening experience will be facilitated using the book “Road Back to You” By Ian Morgan Cron and Suzanne Stabile. The group will be meeting on Thursday’s starting at 6:00pm at various outdoor walking/hiking trails around Aroostook County as well as meeting at the best coffee shot East of the Mississippi River, otherwise known as Tim Hortons. So if you are a young adult and/or around college age we would encourage you to sign up for this group. We would like to invite you all to our second spring small group rally day today. You can sign up for any of our spring semester small groups at this time as well as talk with all the small group leaders if you have any questions. With it being our last rally day before the semester begins, we would like to introduce you to our last small group of the spring semester. This group is our Flicks of Faith Movie Group for Men. The group is led by Paul Saija and is assisted by Pedro Collazo. The group will be meeting on Tuesdays during the spring semester to watch designated movies and having a group discussion about them. Some of the movies they have watched in the past semesters include Left Behind, The Apocalypses, Escape, Samson and Delilah, The Ultimate Gift, Escape from Hell and The Passion of the Christ. Attention everyone! We have a small group coming soon that you are going to love! This group was featured last semester for young adults but this semester it is open to anyone! The group is called "Happy Little Trees" and the focus will be about discovering the joy of painting with Bob Ross through his inspiring TV episodes while learning how to paint. The best part is that there is no painting experience required! Who doesn't want to learn from the master painter himself? This group will be meeting Thursday nights at 6:00pm in Fort Fairfield. The leader of this group will be Pamela Nason, with Ben Nason (and a digital version of Bob Ross) assisting Pamela. Along with learning to paint, the group will also be covering a book called "Soul Print" by Mark Patterson. In the book, Mark pours the contagious energy he's known for into helping you experience the joy of discovering who you are...and the freedom of discovering who you are not. The wonderful fact is that your uniqueness is God's gift to you, and it's also your gift to God. Along the way you'll find that you're not just turning the pages of a book. You're turning the pages of your remarkable, God-shape, world changing life. Today is our first small group rally day for the 2019 spring semester. We would love to see you all today! All of the small group leaders will be set up at church with displays about their group and you will have an opportunity to sign up. You can stop by before service or immediately following our services today. Our Morning service starts this morning at 10am. For a special rally day treat, we will introduce you to another of our small groups this morning. Today's featured group is titled "The Complete Man". This group is lead by Pastor Mark Babin and is assisted by Scott Clark. "The Complete Man" will look at different topics that will empower, encourage and bring wisdom on how to be the godly, mature, balanced, husbands, fathers, and leaders men were born to be! To help facilitate conversation, the book "Teleios Man" by Larry Titus will be used as it is written for the man who wakes up in the morning, looks in the mirror, and thinks about who he wants to be for his wife, his kids, his co-workers, himself, and, most importantly, the man he wants to be before God. The responsibility of it all can be so overwhelming he may wish that he could just climb back into bed and go back to sleep. The group will be meeting on Tuesdays from 6:00-8:00pm at the Pastor Mark's residence starting on February 12th. We have some great news! We are starting up a discipleship group for anyone and everyone that is interested in attending. The group will focus on the basics of being a disciple or follower of Jesus. No matter how new or old you are as a Christian, this will be a great time to focus on foundations of being a Christian. This group will take place on Thursday Nights from 6:00-8:00pm at Celebration Center in the Multipurpose Room. It will be lead by none other than our Worship Leader Ryan Babin. With February right around the corner, it is time to start introducing you to our small groups for our Spring Semester. The first group we want to preview for you is "God Where Are You?" If you feel or have ever felt lost in a difficult season, wondering, “GOD, WHERE ARE YOU?!” Perhaps you heard God speak, but now He seems silent. Maybe you moved forward in faith, but now His presence is nowhere to be found. This is where this small group comes in. The group explores this wilderness - the place between receiving a promise from God and seeing it come to pass - and learns why this wilderness is not a wasteland. God uses the wilderness to prepare and equip you for your destiny - that is, if you navigate it correctly. Contrary to what many may think, getting through this season isn’t just a matter of waiting on God. You have a part to play in navigating through it. A big one. And if you don’t want to waste time wandering in circles, it’s important to learn what that is. The book "God Where Are You" by John Bevere will be read to help facilitate discussion during the meetings. The group is led by Pastor Claudette Babin and her assistant leader is Wendy Clark. This group is for women and will be meeting in Fort Fairfield on Tuesday Nights starting on February 12th. If you would like to join this group, we would encourage you to go to our small group rally days on February 3rd and 10th immediately following our morning services. You will get to meet the leaders, find out more information about the group, and sign up.
